5 Days to go!!!

Today, it is 5 days until I leave this small little town and move to London. I have never felt so excited. This has been a dream of mine for years and years;0. I use to beg my parents to move down there. But I have a feeling that moving down there alone is going to be so much better!

I am not scared about going in anyway shape or form. I'm not scared of the prospect of having to constantly hopping on the tube. I've done it for years. For the past two years (a lot more recently) i have spent so much time going down to London all alone that its become second nature.. I did stay with either family or friends, so it has never been particularly expensive for me to go down, it'll cost me around £50 on the train and then less than £20 on the tube.

Though, I do have to make myself busy with things I need to do, whether its an audition or going to see my accommodation, because otherwise there is a big chance that a lot of my money will be spent down Oxford Street. Being the genius that I am though, I have discovered a much better way of not spending my money when I have nothing particular to do. Pretend to be rich down Bond Street.

It may sound silly, but I have literally never had so much fun in my life! I went in to GUCCI, Ralph Lauren, Channel and Dior. The first time I went I said that I was looking for a prom dress, and the second time I said I was looking for something to wear to my sisters wedding. I have never received such good treatment. They ask you what sort of thing you are thinking of and then they will bring out everything they have in your size plus shoes. Its such a brilliant idea, even if I do say so myself. You get to try on beautiful clothes that is so far out of your price range, there will be no way of you spending your money.

Unfortunatly, when I go down there in 5 days time, I don't think I will be going down Bond Street that much. I'm going to be living my life. Going about my everyday business.

The thought that one of my dreams has almost been achieved makes me feel like any of my dreams are possible. My dream of being able to make a living out of being an actress, or moving to America, winning an Oscar! Who knows? But I cant get too far ahead of my self; I need to take things as they come and work really, really hard to make sure I am able to live in London forever. If i have to move back to my hometown I think I might cry!

What has happened to Amanda Bynes?

One thing that always pops up on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and just the Internet in general is the AMAZING transformation of Amanda Bynes.

Not only is there a massive change in her appearance, but there appears to be a change in her personality (maybe not, i don't know her personally).

On her twitter she seems to have decided to just spend her time insulting other celebs like Zac Efron, Drake and Miley Cyrus. But, the thing is, her only insult it 'YOUR UGLY'. I mean, come on Bynes, a five year old could probably come up with a better insult than that!

If she isn't insulting a celeb, she is talking about plastic surgery and saying that she loves it and it can fix anything. It has apparently fixed her 'webbed eyes'; I don't have a clue what that is. The thing is, somewhere in the world, there is going to be people who idealise her and they are probably going to value what she says and it will then make an influence on their life.

The ironic thing is, I recently saw an interview on YouTube from 2007 where she was talking how she had not gone down the same troubled road as Lindsey Lohan went down. Have a look for yourself if you don't believe me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpVHQnIvTXo

Apparently Amanda Bynes has been sectioned after an incident involving fire and her driveway, I'm not too sure. Though I really hope she gets everything sorted out, she was a brilliant child actress and its rather sad to see her like this.

It's My Sisters Birthday

So I just wanted to say happy birthday to my little sister, who is 15 today. I'm going to use this opportunity to post some nice pictures of her :)

My University Buys

So, the past week has been full of buying things for my room in student accommodation. I purely wanted to buy things that looked pretty to make my room more homely, but I went shopping with my dad (and his money) and he wouldn't let me. It's going to be so hard trying to budget! At the moment, I am trying to keep everything that I plan on taking with me in a little corner of my room. Here are some of my budget buys.

My best budget buy has to be my bedding, which I got from B&M. This includes a duvet, two pillows and a mattress protector; it only cost £10. When I looked in other shops, it was at least £10 to buy a quilt alone, so this was an AMAZING budget buy!!!

This next buy, in my opinion, was the most important buy, so I didn't really look at the price tag. My quilt covers. When you go to university, you can't decorate your room like you would at home, you have to make the most of what you have. The walls in my room are cream, so pretty much anything with go in my room, but I've used by bedding to try and create a bit of a colour scheme. Both sets are made up of pink, green and whites. I bought one from Asda and the other from Morrisons both where around a similar price of £10.

When at university you have to do you best to save your pennies and make each one count. And to save these pennies you need a money box. I got this from B&M for 89p (even cheaper than the pound shop!)

As you can see from the first picture, I have a lot more stuff. It will just take far to long to write (and for you to read) about every single item. Some things are things I've had for years, some are from my parents house (that they don't need). So when your buying for university, or just moving, don't buy everything! Have a look at what you and family members already have.

Hello :)

Hello you beautiful blog readers!
For some reason (unknown to myself) I have decided to write a blog of my life and the things I get up to.

Over the past year a lot of things have happened to me, some good and some bad. I could probably say its been the worst year yet. So here is a short summary of what has happened to me in the last year:

  • I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease.
  • I had to enrol onto a third year at sixth form, purely to stop my mum from making me pay rent! I decided to retake English Literature and fast track English Language.
  • I auditioned for tonnes of drama schools in London.
  • I missed loads of college because of having to go to the hospital every week for either blood tests or just seeing doctors and nurses.
  • I casually made a fool out of myself whilst drunk.
  • I did a week of work experience at Paul Holmon Assiociates, which is a pantomime company. I got to meet the likes of Andy Scott-Lee and Lydia Scott-Lee

    and Mike 'squeaky' McClean.

I also got to see A Chorus Line thanks to Lee. It was defiantly the BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!!
  • A few weeks later, I had a laproscopic intestine resection. This was because I could barely eat and was throwing up soup, all because of my crohns. My week in hospital was horrible and smelly. Without my friends coming to visit I wouldn't have coped.

  • I got my results; C in English Literature (improvement from a D) and a B in English Language.
So that's my year summed up into 8 bullet points. I'm now in remission and eating like I should be (I can't stop eating). I've gone from 42kg ( my worst) to 48kg.
On the 31st August I move to London, Kingston upon Thames to be exact. I am going to study BA(hons) Acting for Stage and Media. I am unbelievably excited. And I want to use this blog to document everything I go through from now, as I finally feel like my life is beginning.
If you read this, thank you for taking the time to do so!

What's In My Make-up Bag?

I have make-up all over my room, in boxes and bags, but I keep my essential make-up in my make-up bag.

Firstly, my make-up bag. I bought it from Superdrug and it cost around £2.99; you can also buy it with a larger bag made of the same clear and wipeable material for £5.99. This was a good buy because it holds plenty of make-up, it was cheap, and made of clear, wipeable material which means that if you get make-up over it, it doesn't really matter; just wipe it off.

Inside my Superdrug make-up bag I have a small pot of Nivea Creme. This can be found at most stores, I got mine from Superdrug, purely because of where it was in the shopping centre. I use an extremely small amount of this at the beginning of my make-up routine.

I use No7 Beautifully Matte make up base which costs £10.50. It says that it 'Stops shine for a matte finish and improves blemishes' which I think it does. It has a nice feel to it and does not feel heavy on your face. There is an offer on No7 products (I don't know how long this lasts), buy one get one half price, so I also bought the Stay Perfect foundation which I had matched to my skin in Boots. This costs £15 but with the offer I got both products for £20 which is a great bargain for two great products.
I use Natural Collection bronzer, and Maybelline Great Lash mascara because both are good products and are fairly priced at no more than £5.99. With me moving to London in a week I am having to start budgeting. I've only recently bought the Ecotools make-up brushes because I read that the brush gets into the skin blemishes better that fingers. I use eylure lashfix to attach fake eyelashes because it is a lot stronger and last longer than the glue that comes with the eyelashes.

There are some of my essentials, and I hope you enjoyed reading my blog :)
